Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood to Perform at Trump’s Inauguration?

President-elect Donald Trump’s second inauguration, set for January 20, 2025, will showcase a variety of notable performers, marking a shift from his 2017 inauguration, which struggled to attract high-profile artists.

Carrie Underwood to Perform "America the Beautiful"

Country music star Carrie Underwood is slated to sing “America the Beautiful” during the inauguration ceremony. She expressed her excitement, saying, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be part of this historic event.”

Village People to Perform at Inaugural Events

The Village People, famous for their classic “Y.M.C.A.,” which became a favorite at Trump’s campaign rallies, will perform at several inaugural events, including a rally on January 19 and the Liberty Inaugural Ball. The band stated, “We believe music brings people together, regardless of politics.”

Lee Greenwood to Sing "God Bless the USA"

Country singer Lee Greenwood will perform his beloved anthem “God Bless the USA” during the swearing-in ceremony. Greenwood has a history of performing at Trump’s events, including the 2017 inauguration.

Christopher Macchio to Perform the National Anthem

Opera singer Christopher Macchio will sing the National Anthem at the inauguration. He has previously performed at various Republican events, including Trump’s 2024 rally at Madison Square Garden.

Additional Performers and Attendees

Other artists scheduled to perform include country stars Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts at Trump’s inaugural ball, along with Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus at the “victory rally.” Gavin DeGraw will take the stage at the Starlight Ball, while Parker McCollum will perform at the Commander-in-Chief Ball.
Notable attendees will include tech billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, who have substantial federal contracts and closely align with Trump’s administration. Their attendance raises concerns about a potential “oligarchy,” as previously warned.
The inauguration events will kick off with a church service at St. John’s Church, followed by tea at the White House. Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will take their oaths at the U.S. Capitol, after which there will be a parade to the White House. The festivities will feature three official inaugural balls, celebrating military service, Trump supporters, and significant donors.
The forecast indicates that Inauguration Day will be the coldest in 40 years, with temperatures expected to drop to the low 20s due to an Arctic blast. Major networks, including ABC, CNN, Fox News, and NBC, will broadcast the event.
